It's going to be a filmy Friday as the much anticipated Bollywood action film Tevar is being released in cinemas today. Directed by Amit Sharma, the film stars Arjun Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and Manoj Bajpai in lead roles. It was coined a remake of the 2003 Telugu blockbuster Okkadu; however Sharma prefers the term adaptation.

The plot revolves around Pintoo (Arjun Kapoor) who is a young hot-headed kabbadi player who rescues a young woman Radhika (Sonakshi Sinha) from an unwanted marriage with Gajender Singh (Manoj Bajpai), a corrupt politician, the antagonist of the movie. Actress and playback singer Shruti Hassan was also roped in to do a romantic number in the movie.

It is the first time that Sinha and Kapoor will be seen sharing screen space. Rumour has it that the duo has hit it off off-screen as well and are supposedly dating.

Music composers Sajid-Wajid have successfully captured fans with their catchy numbers such as Arjun’s ‘Main Superman, Salman Ka Fan’ and Sonakshi’s beautiful dance performance in ‘Radha Nachegi’.

The film has been shot in real locations across cities like Agra, Mathura and Jaipur.
