Eight terrorists killed within one week, says Balochistan home minister‏

QUETTA: Home Minister Balochistan, Sarfaraz Bugti has stated that eight terrorists were killed and 15 others have been arrested in the province during the past week.

Addressing a press conference at Civil Secretariat on Monday, the home minister stated that security forces have intensified a crackdown against different militant groups operating in the province.

"During different raids and actions a large cache of arms and ammunition were also recovered from the possession of miscreants," the minister said.

"Forces also demolished two militant camps," Bugti stated.

"We are fully implementing the National Action Plan in Balochistan," he said.

When asked about the Pak-Afghan border, he said that Pakistan has already excavated 500km long trench at the porous border to stop the flow of terrorists.

He stated that Pakistan was determined to root out terrorism from the region. The minister reiterated that Afghan and Indian intelligence agencies were involved in prevailing unrest in the province.

Regarding recent kidnappings in Zhob, Sarfaraz Bugti said that an operation was launched in the area to ensure the kidnapped people are recovered.

He said FC and levies force were active in the area to apprehend the culprits involved in the kidnappings.
