PESHAWAR: The 418th meeting of the Syndicate of University of Peshawar held here on Saturday gave approval to the appointment of 16 professors, 14 associate professor, 45 assistant professors and 31 lecturers.

The meeting of the syndicate was chaired by University of Peshawar Vice-chancellor Professor Mohammad Rasul Jan, according to a press release.

The press release said that several important decisions were taken in the meeting.

It said that the meeting accorded approval to the appointment of deputy registrar and deputy librarian of the university.

The august body also gave approval for the proceedings of the academic council of the university, affiliations and the study leave committee, the release said. The meeting also approved premature increment for the emplyees of the university working in basic pay sacle-2 to basic pay scale-4.

The press release said that the meeting was also attended by relevant secretaries of the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Khyber Medical University Vice-chancellor Dr Hafizullah and executive director of Higher Education Commission Dr Mansoor Akbar Kundi.
