KARACHI: The police on Tuesday detained a man on the premises of the anti-terrorism courts for filming a judge and his vehicle.

The police officials deputed at the ATCs said that Umer Farooq was arrested for recording a video on his mobile phone when ATC-I Judge Bashir Ahmed Khoso came out of his chamber and was about to leave.

The court sources said that the detained man was a brother of accused Usman Ghani, who was charged earlier this year with keeping explosive material in Malir and the ATC-I reserved on Tuesday its judgement in the case till Dec 18.

Usman is said to be associated with a banned militant outfit.

Later, the suspect was handed over to the counter-terrorism unit of the Crime Investigation Department.
