Rickety school vans

Published December 2, 2014

I PICK my sister from school daily and have observed that how insecure school vans are for children. Most of these vans I usually see are in bad shape which puts children’s lives at risk.

Children are stuffed into these vans like sardines. This is dangerous. I haven’t seen any safety measures taken by drivers.

One can find a broken exterior with no proper sitting arrangements for children. The most dangerous part is the CNG cylinders installed under the seats and reckless driving by van drivers.

The authorities concerned should take action against these van drivers and ensure the safety of schoolchildren.
