Pakistani flag

Published November 28, 2014

THE Pakistani flag is a green field with a white crescent moon and a five-pointed star at its centre, and a vertical white strip at the hoist side.

The government should take action against those people who are printing different colours of the flag and selling in the market. The Pakistani flag’s colour is dark green. But light green and even red and blue colours are also available in the market.

And, on the other hand, Pakistan Zindabad, Jashan-i-Azaadi Mubarak and pictures of the Quaid-i-Azam and Allama Iqbal are also printed on the Pakistani flag. Nothing should be written on the Pakistani flag. The government should make laws and take action against people who are printing different types of our national flag.

One can argue that all these slogans and pictures are printed on the national flag as a mark of celebration and remembering those who won us Pakistan, but the sanctity of the flag should never be compromised.

After Aug 14, our national flag can be seen lying on roads and streets almost everywhere and no one seems to care about it. We as a nation should respect our flag.
