ISLAMABAD: The Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) has given the government a 12-hour ultimatum to arrest the killers of Allama Nawaz Irfani, who earlier on Wednesday was gunned down by unknown miscreants in the federal capital, DawnNews reported.
Initial reports suggest that Irfani, who had recently moved from Parachinar after serving as main cleric of the area’s major imambargah, was gunned down by unidentified motorcycle riders in Islamabad’s E-11 sector.
His body was later moved to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) for postmortem.
Condemning the incident, MWM leader Allama Nasir Abbas and others demanded of the government to bring the culprits behind the killing to book in next 12 hours.
Shia Ulema Council (SUC) also condemned the attack, saying the government has given the militants a free hand to kill anyone they wish.

Is there any "Sunni Ulema Council" or a body of Sunni Ulemas? Why they are not condemming the killing of their Muslim brothers? These target killings are increasing day by day. All sectors of life, especially the representatives of all religios should join hands to stop them. Bullets do not care for your colour, gender of faith! They kill. Anyone of us may be the next one. Everyone of us can be shot down in the name of a different faith.

Who is giving any ultimatums for the thousands of other innocent Pakistanis who are being killed in Pakistan? Why is this man above the rest? And what will happen if the killers are not found? Are they going to kill innocent civilians, destroy property or what? Please - before you give any ultimatums, think how you plan to carry out your threat and who will you hurt, even if you do decide to take revenge!

once again repeated episode emerged before the people. how astonishing, the human life has lost his cost and became valueless. when there's no value of renowned figures then what's about the common man. only verbal statements are considered enough for the solace of the inhabitants of this planet. i request the authorities to look into the matter quite seriously, so that the safety of someone can be assured and disgraceful and disgruntled elements could be put in the corner.

The fact of the matter is, unfortunately, we reside in a country where the justice is only for selective individuals. Police and law enforcement only work when the victim is a man of power. For the rest of us, we are just "keray makoray".

If the police was recruited on merit and not cronyism, this would not have happened, many criminals would be behind bars. The killers are sheltered then whisked away. The police must hunt them down. Secteranianism is the strategy of foreign hands as they used it in Iraq and Syria.

Maad or Qayamat is for whom who break Justice rules and why not to blame Govt is not the same people who gave huge slogans to bring peace to bring prosperity. People gave their consent and the right to destroy or develop the Public Money. Still they are Infallible Dr Sahab.

You can either say Those who Live to struggle for Justice, will ultimately be kept silent forever by the Tyrannical Systems.Tyrants always lived under confusion that they can suppress the truth by force, just because they haven't studied the third law of Motion. i.e. Action and Reaction is always in the opposite direction with the same force :-)

@Dr. Abdul Manan --- the basic rule of running in any running is to develop pace to catch up--- MOMENTUM, you are doctor and you know that, but in this case the Government is RUNNING but LOW on the implementation of JUSTICE where the momemtum should be the MOST HIGH, they are running Doctor sahib after the MANDATE they got. Remember the MAN is the PM and he has a DATE to 2018. IF this is what is running the government is as you say, then let them run until 2018 and let ALLAH bring angels to have mercy on Pakistanis and JUSTICE- also.between 2014 and 2018. Amen
