LAHORE: The Pakistan handball team reached the semi-finals at the Asian Beach Games underway in Phuket, Thailand after beating Bahrain 2-1 in their final group match on Wednesday.

Pakistan will face Oman for a place in the final while Qatar will play Bahrain in the other semi-final, according to a press release issued by the Pakistan Handball Federation (PHF).

After losing the first set 18-21, Pakistan recovered well to level the contest by winning the second 20-19 before winning the third 8-6 to seal the victory and top spot in their group.
