ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Thursday termed the grilling of its friend Robin Raphel as an internal matter of the US and said that Pakistan has neither asked the US to share investigation nor has the US disclosed the reason for probing her.

"She is a friend of Pakistan and has a deep understanding of the region," Foreign Office spokesperson Tasneem Aslam said at a weekly news briefing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

When asked about the possible presence of Islamic State (IS) militants in Pakistan, she drew the attention of media on Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar's statement and said Pakistan is against all trans-national terrorist organisations and would not allow its territory to be used against any other country.
