QUETTA: The son and niece of prominent folk singer Sabz Ali Bugti were injured in a landmine explosion in Zain Koh area of Dera Bugti district on Saturday.

Police said the landmine planted in front of Sabz Ali’s residence went off when his seven-year-old son Abdul Majeed and six-year-old niece Nabila came out of the house.

“Both children suffered serious injuries,” police said.

The victims were taken to a local hospital but later shifted to Rahimyar Khan for treatment.
