Inquiry report on drought fake: Wasan

KARACHI: The Sindh Minister for Prisons, Anti-Corruption and Mines and Minerals, Manzoor Wasan, termed on Friday “false and misleading” news reports about an inquiry said to have been conducted by him regarding the drought in Tharparkar district.

In a statement released by media cell of the PPP, Mr Wasan described news items about the ‘inquiry’ report as “a heinous conspiracy against PPP and the Sindh government”.

He said the documents characterised by media as an inquiry report were fake. “I will carry out an investigation to expose the elements behind the fake inquiry,” the minister asserted.

He said Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah’s efforts aimed at mitigating the effects of the drought in Tharparkar district were laudable.

We have one of the worst local administration in Sindh. CM sindh is grossly incompetent and are some other local Ministers. BZ should revamp the local administrative structure of Sindh if PPP wish to save it self from losing its credibility any further

Haven't we seen the efforts they are putting in thar? They have done everything. We found Sir Qayam Ali shah almost dead in his sleep b/c of the exertion resulted in the hard work. My salute to both and the great PPP. Yes we know Bhutto is not dead. Just like Sir Qayam Ali Shah not dead either.

oh wow, we have a minster for mines and minerals as well.......... surprised and funny. ONE GUY Sindh Minister for Prisons, Anti-Corruption and Mines and Minerals, Manzoor Wasan,........... he must be a genius at par with Einstein. or may be PPP took a leaf out of PMLN politics and like our PM ( holding four portfolios all alone by himself though he keeps changing minister like musical chair )...... trying their own version of 4 in 1. staggering and shocked..... we need to put two ministers for one post and here we have 1 minister for 4 different jobs............gosh.

(1) This Sidh Minister must be brilliant running so many different ministries, Prisons, Anti-Corruption and Mines and Minerals, With high rate of corruption no need to discuss his performance. But he still collects big salary & perks all paid by poor tax payers. (2) Drought in Tharparker District and people dying while CM Sindh collecting big salary, his ministers jhaving good time why anyone should vote for PPP again? (3) Has Bilawal, chief of PPP visted Tharparker district yet? If he did, what he has done so far to solve this serious problem. Does he still deserve to be PPP chief?
