US offers to help bring perpetrators of Wagah attack to justice

ISLAMABAD: US Ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson said on Sunday the United States condemned the senseless terrorist act at the Wagah border post.

The US ambassador on behalf of the American people extended his heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the families of victims as well as to the government and people of Pakistan.

He said the United States supported Pakistan’s efforts to bring all those involved in planning and executing this attack to justice and was ready to provide any appropriate assistance in this regard.

“This act demonstrates terrorists’ blatant disregard for life,” he said.

“The United States remains steadfast in its commitment to the people of Pakistan in their efforts to counter terrorism, uphold the rule of law, and build a peaceful future for themselves and their children,” a US Embassy press release quoted the envoy as saying.

I am very pro india and pakistan relationship but the fact that pakistanis were attacked at the wagah border after the ceremony makes me look at india very suspiciously. If the attack had occurred anywhere else, Id just blame it on a terrorist organization and call it a day. But the fact that the attack was in Lahore, a city that nawaz sharif has literally asked the terrorists not to attack and a city that hasn't seen attack for a long time, coupled with the location.... I think India may be behind some of these terrorist islamic organizations. No better way to weaken the pakistani infrastructure and the massacre the army. We really need to stop this proxy/intelligence war between the two countries. Pakistan is weak and is nothing compared to india when it comes to military power and financial strength. Just let it go and live your own lives in your own countries. If we can't be friends then so be it. This entire drama of friend and foe that the two governments play is not worth losing a single innocent life, let it be in mumbai or islamabad.

If Pakistan Establishments don't know who is the culprit, then need help...when it is planned by themselves..what help others do pakistan!!!! Dear America, did you forget Osama story? Poor Pakistani people.

In United States we have a great ally, we should seek their help directly or indirectly in eradicating these terrorists. Also we should support their drone attacks and as well as seek their intelligence and provide them whatever information we have about the hideouts of these terrorists, where they can be bombed. Pakistan alone can't do the job. If not America then get help from China.
