BAHAWALPUR: Deputy Attorney General (DAG) Naveed Khalil has clarified that in the writ petition on solar park project, the learned judge of the Lahore High Court (LHC) Bahawalpur Bench had issued notices for submission of para-wise comments within 10 days to only four respondents and not to seven as was inadvertently mentioned in the news carried by this paper on Oct 26.
According to the LHC order, the four respondents are the Punjab government through chief secretary, additional chief secretary Energy, Punjab, Quaid-i-Azam Solar Power through its chief executive near Lal Sohanra, Bahawalpur, and managing director of the Punjab Power Development Board, Lahore.
He said the law officers had accepted their notices on their behalf. He said he had opposed the writ petition for being “unmaintainable” on several grounds.
