LANDI KOTAL: The main gate of a house was partially damaged while a vehicle of security forces was targeted by militants in two separate bomb blasts in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency on Wednesday.

Officials said that the early morning blast partially damaged the main gate of the house of Jan Muhammad Zakhakhel in Shahkas area. The blast, however, did not harm any inmate of the house.

In the same area, militants targeted a vehicle of security forces with an explosive device, planted along the road. The patrolling party of the security forces just passed the spot where the device was planted and detonated through a remote control.

Another bomb went off near the house of Haji Zahir Shah but it did not cause any damage.

Later security forces conducted a search operation in Ghundi area and arrested at least 14 suspects. The arrested men were shifted to Jamrud Fort for interrogation.
