KARACHI: Hayatullah scored in the 14th minute as Muslim FC went top of the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) at the end of its first phase with a 1-0 win over Afghan FC at the KMC Stadium on Wednesday.
Muslim FC’s third win in four matches moved them to nine points, ahead of Karachi Port Trust (KPT) on goal difference. KPT have also played four games.
Defeat ended Afghan FC’s perfect start to the season after they had opened with two wins. They are are placed fourth on a fledgling table, level on six points with third-placed Army and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
The second phase of the PPFL starts from Oct 12.
