RECENTLY, I visited Mithi district in Sindh for some official work. It took me some hours before I realised that I was seeing such scenic beauty in my home province. Some of the sights were such that I had never seen them before.

I love nature and beauty and go to northern areas frequently. However, the beautiful granite mountain range and the desert with greenery was something unique in Mithi and indeed a feast for the eyes.

Neglecting such a fine tourist spot is not only unfortunate but a disservice to this province.

It is time that the Sindh government woke up to the bounties bestowed upon it by mother nature.

Sindh has many places of natural beauty that are ignored but worth visiting spots like Tharparkar, Nangarparkar, Keenjhar lake, Gorakh Hill station, Makli graveyard and the world-famous Moenjodaro.

These tourist spots need to be advertised and publicised besides being protected for our future generations as they are the natural wealth of this country.

I would advise all readers to visit Nangarparkar and Mithi if they want to enjoy beauty. These areas are safe, beautiful and have a pleasant atmosphere.
