Imran vs Zardari

Published October 1, 2014

RECENTLY, Asif Ali Zardari, out of sheer jealousy and grudge, has ridiculed Imran Khan by saying that Mr Khan is politically ‘immature’ (nabaligh)’.

I ask Mr Zardari if Mr Khan is not mature, who is? Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, who tries to imitate his maternal grandfather and mother?

Rather, he is being constantly tutored by a team of experts to master the style in great details of his mentor with the aid of audio, video images.

Mr Khan has not earned the sobriquet of Mr 10pc. And isn’t it a laughable matter that at age 24, Bilawal has been made the chairman of the PPP.

Seasoned and aged politicians like Aitzaz Ahsan, Jahangir Badar, Raza Rabbani and Khurshid Shah, who are almost of his grandfather’s age, all have been forced to accept his chairmanship.

It looks odd when Bilawal holds a meeting and all senior politicians listen to him like schoolboys. It gives the impression that there is no PPP leader worth his salt to challenge this undemocratic practice or artificiality.

Coming back to Mr Khan, he is a born leader. He is charismatic, honest, truthful and dynamic.
