Favouring family: PTI lawmaker’s decision draws flak

KOHAT: District development advisory committee chairman’s decision to appoint his brother as head of the monitoring team tasked with inspecting development works in Kohat has drawn criticism and raised questions about the PTI-led provincial government’s claim of bringing transparency to government matters.
The critics, especially the line departments argue that Kaleemullah, brother of MPA Ziaullah Bangash, is a non-technical person who has been authorised to issue directives to officials much senior to him.
When contacted, MPA Bangash told Dawn that PTI monitoring cell at Kohat had another head, Istiaq Qureshi, who received all the complaints and then forwarded them to the chief minister house in Peshawar for action.
Mr Bangash clarified that he had launched some major projects in the city, including construction of schools and an Eidgah, and asked his younger brother to look after the schemes as he had been in Islamabad to attend the PTI sit-in for over a month. He said that he would ensure proper use of the development funds.–Correspondent

so IK / PTI is right in calling everyone a corrupt / opportunist and mind-less people in making such smearing statements be it judiciary, law enforcing agencies / media............... all are polluted and without vision or all are blind and dumb to say which they always retract when questioned and then asking PTI followers rude, nasty and uncivilized .... why dont you publish list of 25 family members of ruling party who are one way or another have been 'adjusted' in govt ranks ? and same goes with PPP and MQM. can you show some moral courage and issue such list rather than biting on PTI ?, dare you ?

@ailly No need to issue list as every one knows. It was well known fact even before election. But why PTI is following the same pursuit despite heavy claims? Hope no change will come.

Surely, PTI can't do anything wrong!! It's all very easy to make allegations against anyone that comes to Imran's mind but when stories like this come out his supporters start telling us that what about other parties. We know about other parties so forget about them and if any such thing happens in your own party then admit it and try to rectify the situation as soon as you can.
We all need change but change to what?? If the party that is offering change gets caught out making the same stupid mistakes then we have the right to say "THANKS BUT NO THANKS".

May be the only person he could trust was his brother. Give the guy a break. PTI didn't land from heaven. They do the same things but under a different flag. I have not heard from PTI as to what this 'Naya Pakistan' would look like, other than some empty slogans and playing cricket on constitution ave. Step back and watch PTI engulf itself in its own fire. The only thing we can do is to extinguish this fire in the middle so they won't burn to death but instead are alive and well done

Forget other parties; they are no good. It would appear that PTI is following suit; that is what you should be working at although again it is becoming more and more apparent that it's present leaders along with allies like Rashid, TQ, Chaudris etc.,they are unfit to deliver the goods. Go,Imran ,go home must replace "Go Nawaz go".

not a big issue. fact is he is there for just a few days in order to handle when his brother is not present.
they are at thier duty. recognizing duty is a big job which lacks all other parties. Family ruling is Z.A bhutto then Bibi then bilawil ... ruling from generation to generation. . . this is the thing that we will never see in PTI. there will be no qasim after imran khan as there is mariyam after nawaz shareef!!!!

@ailly you seem to have not read the article at all - it is about PTI engaging in what is obviously a conspiracy to pave the way for corruption (i.e. the chairman of the development committee appointing his brother to monitor performance!). No wonder Imran Khan followers are so blind to the multiple examples of dishonesty and corruption (not to mention the Qadri/Khan London Conspiracy to overthrow the elected government by creating disorder on an obviously bogus pretext).

Being from Kohat I have high respect for Bangash Sahib and believe he must have made arrangements with best intentions. Though IK's continuous Hypocrisy opens this action to ridicule just like all PTI actions.

By that rule a PM can ask his brother to be a PM until he returns from US.... if he can't perform his role he must resign and give someone else a chance, its not a shop that he can ask his brother to look after it while he is away.....

I have a feeling you will hear something officially from PTI --- if not then it's wrong ---- however my full support to IK remains. But that doesn't mean I support something like this.

Remember the glee on his face when he received a call to meet the army chief; he jumped with joy and raced to meet the chief! He thought he was to become the PM. He is so presumptuous but on what basis does the is the pretender to the throne? His 35 seats and forfeiture of security of 55 candidates and he then overrates himself to be a demi-god. He is no leader of men, this"I" person nor shall he ever become the PM of my country. And therefore, the burden of my song is " Go home, Imran, go home".
