KARACHI: Former international athlete and retired Deputy Superintendent of Police Syed Abid Hussain died after protracted illness here on Tuesday. He was 72.

The deceased is survived by a widow, a son and a daughter to mourn his death.

The namaz-e-janaza of the deceased will be offered at Masjid Khai-ul-Aml after Zohrain prayers on Wednesday and he will be laid to rest at Wadi-i-Hussain graveyard.
