KARACHI: Dera Murad Jamali Ibexes rebounded from their abysmal display the other day to seal a sensational one-run victory over Bahawalpur Stags in the AlBaraka presents Haier T20 Cup at the National Stadium here on Tuesday.

Requiring nine from final over of the Group ‘D’ fixture delivered by paceman Atif Jabbar, the Stags got only seven including a last-ball boundary by Waqas Khan. Faisal Mubashir finished as the top-scorer with a 25-ball 36 after skipper Imranullah Aslam (25 off 26) and Naeemuddin (32 off 25) shared a second-wicket stand worth 48.

Earlier, the Ibexes made up for dismal batting effort against Lahore Lions, when they sent packing for a paltry total of 55 on Monday, by reaching a competitive 141-7. Najeebullah, who was declared man-of-the-match, hit 50 from 46 deliveries with the aid of five fours and one six.
