NEW YORK: Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz, held a meeting with Foreign Minister of Iran, Javad Zarif at the UN on Monday.
Subjects of bilateral interest, including the Pak-Iran gas-pipeline were discussed. Views were also exchanged on regional situation, a press statement issued by Pakistan mission has said.
It was decided that the momentum generated by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit to Iran earlier this year should be maintained through enhanced interactions between the two countries at various levels. Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry and Ambassador to United States, Jalil Abbas Jilani also attended the meeting.
