PIA flight cancellation

Published September 23, 2014

MY wife and I were booked by PIA’s Flight No.368, which was supposed to leave for Islamabad on Sept 18 at 10am. When we tried to enter the airport at 8.15am, the guard on duty informed me that the flight was cancelled.

We did not believe him and checked at the nearby PIA counter and learnt that he was right, that the flight was cancelled and we were re-booked on Flight No.308, leaving Karachi at 4pm.

I do not protest on the cancellation of the flight which must have been cancelled for unavoidable reasons but I do protest against not being informed in time.

In the process we were stranded at the airport, the car having left the airport after dropping us. It took nearly an hour for the car to come back and pick us up.
