JI man killed

KARACHI: An activist of Jamaat-i-Islami was shot dead and two others were injured in Surjani Town on Thursday night.

Three young men were sitting outside an estate agency near the JI office in sector-7-D when four suspects on two motorcycles opened fire on them, said Karachi West SSP Irfan Baloch.

They suffered injuries and were taken to a private hospital on National Stadium Road where doctors declared Ashraf Salam dead and admitted Akhter Ansari and Salman Matin.

Their condition was said to be critical.

The victims belonged to the JI, added the SSP West.
