Qadri charged for using loudspeakers

ISLAMABAD: The capital police have registered yet another FIR against Dr Tahirul Qadri, this time, for using a loudspeaker.

Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Dr Tahirul Qadri, who is already wanted for his alleged involvement in various cases such as challenging the writ of the government and instigating people for violence, has also been booked for using a loudspeaker.

According to Secretariat police, Dr Qadri and 15 other speakers used loudspeakers to deliver speeches violating Section 144. Police registered the FIR number 192 on Saturday night.

According to police records all nominated accused are still at large. The police said Section 144 had been imposed in the city, which bars the use of loudspeakers and political gatherings.

Dr Qadri and others were booked under Section 188 of Pakistan Penal Code.
