MULTAN: The funeral prayers of Pakistan Army’s naib subedar Anab Shaheed, who was martyred while rescuing flood affectees near Multan, were offered at Multan Cantt on Sunday.

According to a press release, Shaheed is survived by a wife and five kids. His burial will be held at his ancestral village of Dhingroon, Palandri Tehsil, Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said the naib subedar had laid down his life for a noble cause.

He said sacrifices of the soldiers for protecting people’s lives were unprecedented.
