QUETTA: A Levies man was killed in an attack on a Thana of the paramilitary force in Pishin district and two men were gunned down in different incidents in Quetta on Sunday.

Gunmen opened fire on the Levies Thana in Bostan area of Pishin district, killing one member of the force. He was identified as Abdul Fateh. The attackers took away Mr Fateh’s official weapon. Levies officials said that an investigation had been launched into the matter.

In the Burma Hotel area of Quetta, gunmen on motorcycles opened fire on a man and fled. Police said Mohammad Ashaq Badani suffered multiple bullet injuries and died on the spot.

The motive of the attack could not be ascertained.

Meanwhile, unidentified men opened fire on a shop in Quetta’s Mali Bagh area, killing the owner and injuring a 10-year-old boy. The deceased was identified as Abdul Ghafoor Bareach.
