Actor Maqsood Hassan passes away

KARACHI: Seasoned Pakistani actor Maqsood Hassan breathed his last on Wednesday at the age of 67.

The veteran radio and TV artist, whose career spanned nearly 50 years, died of a heart attack in Karachi.

Hassan was considered a great actor with burgeoning talents in the entertainment industry. He started his career from Radio Pakistan and participated in numerous well-known theatre plays and TV serials.

His most memorable film remains ‘Jaag utha insaan’ and his superior acting skills will be remembered through serials such as ‘Quddusi sahab ki bewa’.

Hassan is survived by his widow. His funeral prayers will be held this afternoon at Ghazali mosque near Karachi's Hassan Square.
