OKARA: Sahiwal Division Commissioner Sheikh Muhammad Siddique has approved a grant of Rs15 million for the construction of a lawyers chamber at the district courts.

He announced this while addressing the general house meeting of the District Bar Association (DBA). Also present were the DCO, Okara additional commissioner, assistant commissioner, newly posted additional district and sessions judges and civil judges.

DBA President Rai Muhammad Shafi Kharal and General Secretary Zahid Abbas Bukhari had demanded the grant for a multi-storey chamber building for advocates of the DBA.

District and Sessions Judge Safdar Saleem Shahid and DCO Qaisar Saleem also addressed the lawyers.

Earlier, the commissioner visited the cadet college on Okara-Faisalabad road and inaugurated its Iqbal Hostel.

College Principal Mian Imtiaz highlighted the ongoing projects at the college.
