DERA MURAD JAMALI: Workers and supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) staged a sit-in on Tuesday in protest against the state atrocities perpetuated on their Islamabad companions, some of whom got killed and hundred others injured.

The PTI supporters staged the sit-in at the Dera Murad Jamali Press Club and also took out a rally in the lead of provincial leaders Salman Khan Rind and Dr Muhammad Ali Bangulzai.

Protestors carrying banners and placards raised anti-government slogans while marching on different roads. They converged at the press club to join the sit-in.

Party leaders criticised the government for firing, tear-gassing and baton-charging the PTI and the Pakistani Awami Tehreek supporters in Islamabad.

They said though other parties were trying to protect the Nawaz-led government but a prolonged sit-in in Islamabad goes to prove that they are left with little time in office.

People want a change and this struggle will leave no option for Nawaz and his brother but to relinquish their charge and let the PTI form a new Pakistan to provide justice to all.

Imran Khan and his supporters, they added, would not cave-in before corrupt rulers but create a new Pakistan even if they have to give sacrifices. Noor Ahmed, Muhammad Waris Gola and Ali Gola also addressed the gathering.
