UN chief alarmed over Israel’s land grab

UNITED NATIONS: UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has expressd alarm over Israel’s Sunday announcement to declare as so-called “state land” nearly 1,000 acres of land in the Bethlehem area of the West Bank.

He termed it “illegal” under international law.

The seizure of such a large swathe of land risks paving the way for further settlement activity, which – as the United Nations has reiterated on many occasions – is illegal under international law and runs totally counter to the pursuit of a two-state solution.

The secretary-general asked Israel on Monday to heed the calls of the international community to refrain from settlement activity and abide by its commitments under international law and the Quartet Road Map.

I totally endorse Mr Ban Ki Moon's statement all countries should respect United Nations Charter. Israel's occupation to Palestinians land is against UNO charter.

This is just a show off statement to show that there are actually voices at the higher level in the west that condemn Israeli atrocities when there actually aren't.

Disagree with Israel's stand.... Stop fighting fire with fire... But I think Hamas must be disarmed and Israel must recognize right to peaceful existence for Palestinians

The source of the Palestinian problem are the USA that helped to create this colonial post of Israel in Palestine and support it for their geopolitical reasons. These declarations by the UN have no relevance whatsoever.
