Salute to govt

Published September 2, 2014

I SALUTE the patience of the government of Nawaz Sharif in dealing with the demands made by Imran Khan and Dr Tahirul Qadri.

In this day and age an elected government cannot simply be changed just because some loser in elections is asking for this, instead it has to be changed by another election after the completion of the government’s term.

Mr Khan does not want to wait until the next election. He knows it very well that by then all the hard work done by Mr Sharif would start paying off. Pakistan would be a better nation in four more years. So it would be nearly impossible for Mr Khan to secure enough votes then.

Mr Khan and Dr Qadri have been disrespecting the Supreme Court judges, the law-enforcement officials and the elected prime minister.

These two leaders must be punished for inciting violence that resulted in the death of so many innocent people. They have caused enormous economic, social and political damage to the country.
