WATER SHORTAGE: Residents of Kamanger and Gharkalay villages have threatened to protest if concerned authorities don’t remove illegal connections taken from the pipeline supplying water to the villages.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, the residents said that they had been getting water from a water supply scheme completed in 1987, but now the people of the area, where the pipeline was passing through, had taken illegal connections from it. They said that they had brought the issue to the notice of public health engineering department’s officials, but to no avail.
