SWAT: Adviser to the prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz central vice-president Amir Muqam has said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) stands divided over the issue of resignations as most of its legislators have refused to tender resignation from the membership of National Assembly. In this regard, he also mentioned the formation of forward block in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Talking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, he said that the resignation drama staged by PTI chief Imran Khan had exposed his claims. He added that some of the members gave resignations to the party chief instead of handing them over to the National Assembly Speaker. Mr Muqam said that the PTI MNAs had expressed no confidence in the leadership of Mr Khan and as such he had no justification to seek resignation from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He claimed that Mr Sharif had been enjoying the trust of 180 million people and all the major political parties of the country.

He said that thousands of people attended the rallies organised by PML-N across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in support of the federal government. He said that now Mr Khan should end the politics of sit-ins and quit the provincial government.

He said that Mr Khan had stated while standing on the container that he would quit the provincial government if people equal to 10 per cent participants of his ‘dharna’ chanted slogans of 'go Imran go'.
