SUKKUR: Members of the Jacobabad District Bar Association, observing a boycott of court proceedings on Tuesday, expressed their full support to the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and the Pakistan Awami Tehreek in their protest sit-ins under way in Islamabad for more than two weeks.

During a demonstration organised by the DBA against Israeli atrocities in Gaza, the protesting lawyers carrying the banner of the association’s Jacobabad chapter raised slogans supporting PTI chief Imran Khan and PAT leader Dr Tahirul Qadri.Speaking to the participants, DBA president Nawaz Pechuho, general secretary Abdul Jabbar Lashari and members Sardar Khan Lashari, Abdul Latif Solangi, Raja Riaz Akhtar, Mohammad Usman Sadhayo, Junaid Ahmed, Abdul Razzak Khokhar, Manzoor Ahmed Soomro and others criticised the federal government for its keeping silence over the massacres of Palestinian civilians in many military attacks on their houses in Gaza.

They also urged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to accept PTI and PAT demands to bring an end to the political crisis gripping the country and threatening its integrity.

They appealed to the international community to force Israel to stop its aggression at once.

They called for fresh general elections in the country.
