LAHORE: The English language remained an enigma for a vast majority of candidates who failed in the BA/BSc annual examinations conducted by the Punjab University.

This year, 83,012 candidates (62.31pc) have failed to qualify the BA/BSc annual examinations out of 133,223 candidates. An analysis of the result shows that 74,011 candidates (89.157pc) of the 83,012 candidates have been declared fail in English language (compulsory) paper.
