TAXILA: A woman sustained injuries after her in-laws allegedly threw acid on her face in a nearby village.

The 35-year-old mother of a child told newsmen at a local hospital that her mother-in-law and two sisters-in-law subjected her to severe torture before throwing acid on her face. The incident occurred in the Chachi mohallah.

The acid attack survivor said for many months she had been subjected to torture by her in-laws over petty domestic disputes.

In another incident, a woman was abducted by two persons from the Malikabad area.
