Man kills wife

ISLAMABAD: A man stabbed his wife to death in the limits of the Secretariat police and escaped.

Omer Bukhsh told the police that relations between his sister and her husband remained strained. He said the husband of her sister was a gambler and demanded money from his wife.

Police investigation officer Mohammad Hanif told Dawn that the couple had three sons. He said the motive behind the murder would be ascertained after the arrest of the suspect.

House robbed

Robbers looted cash and jewellery worth Rs2.5 million from a house in Chatha Bakhtawar.

A resident informed the Shahzad Town police that the four armed men entered his house and robbed Rs2 million cash and 10 tola gold.
