Isaf chief calls on COAS

ISLAMABAD: The outgoing chief of International Security Assistance Force (Isaf) in Afghanistan, Gen Joseph Dunford on Monday paid farewell call on Army Chief Gen Raheel Sharif.

According to the ISPR, the two commanders discussed matters of mutual interest, including the post-election situation in Afghanistan and coordination along the Pak-Afghan border.

During the meeting held at GHQ, Gen Sharif appreciated Gen Dunford’s contribution towards stability in Afghanistan.

Gen Dunford assumed command of Isaf and US forces in Afghanistan in February last year.
