LAHORE: Gunmen struck five times in Lahore on Friday, taking away cash and valuables all worth Rs5 million.

Four gunmen barged into the house of Javed Iqbal in Iqbal Street in Shalimar police jurisdiction and took away cash, jewellery, cell phones and other valuables all worth Rs2.4 million.

Seven gunmen burst into the house of Khursheed in Khurpur in Sundar police jurisdiction and escaped after looting cash and valuables valuing Rs1.5 million.

Two robbers stopped Shakeel Ahmad and his wife in BoR Society in Johar Town police jurisdiction and snatched Rs100,000, gold ornaments worth Rs500,000 and two cell phones from them.

Three robbers stormed into the house of Nadeem Ahmad in Rachna Block, Iqbal Town, and looted Rs40,000. The suspects also snatched a motorcycle from Asif outside the home and escaped.

Four robbers entered the house of Irshad in Qilla Tartary in Manga Mandi police jurisdiction and took away cash and valuables all worth Rs415,000.

STABBED: A 35-year-old man was stabbed to death allegedly by a man and his two accomplices over the issue of parking a car in Green Town on Friday.

Police responded to an emergency call that a man suffered multiple stab wounds near Green Town Pulli Stop.

Police said Farman Ali, of Kot Hera Singh, had parked his car along with a road after his employer, Dr Safia, went to a house. In the meantime, Tony Shah appeared there and asked Farman to remove the car.

Both of them got into argument and Tony invited his two accomplices who began thrashing Farman and later attacked him with sharp-edged weapons. Farman, father of two, succumbed to his wounds at Jinnah Hospital.

FOUND MURDERED: The body of a 16-year-old boy, went missing from home a day before Eidul Fitr, was found with a gunshot wound in the city’s canal in Harbanspura area on Friday.

The family lodged a protest by placing the body on Canal Road.

Police inquiries showed that Usman Babar, of Hrabanspura, left home to buy Eid clothes on last Monday, but did not return.

On public information, police rushed to the canal and found the body who was later identified as Usman by his family.

According to the family Babar dealt in gas cylinder business on Lytton Road.
