LAHORE: A woman was axed to death allegedly by her husband over domestic issues in Qasurpura on Sunday.

The police arrested Anwar who confessed to his crime. Rehana, 48, mother of two, was working as maid in the area.

The police said the incident took place when the couple quarreled with each other over a domestic issue and the man took an axe and killed his wife.

SHO Amjad Hussain told Dawn that the suspect in his confession said he was fed up with daily quarrels and in a fit of rage murdered his wife. The police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy and registered a case.
