LAHORE: PPP leaders have praised former president Asif Ali Zardari for strengthening democracy in the country.
Speaking at a seminar “Protector of Democracy” in connection with the birthday of Zardari at the press club, PPP Lahore chapter president Samina Ghurki said today there’s democracy in the country only because of the wisdom of Mr Zardari. She said he promoted politics of tolerance in the country.
PPP Punjab general secretary Tanvir Ashraf Kaira said like Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Asif Ali Zardari had refused to be intimidated by a dictator.
