On June 17, clashes between supporters of Dr Tahirul Qadri’s Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Lahore police had left at least eight dead and dozens others injured.

Sana and Tauqir cross-examined

A single-judge Model Town inquiry tribunal had yesterday cross-examined former law minister Rana Sanaullah, chief minister’s former principal secretary Dr Tauqir Shah and many police officers during in-camera proceedings.

ISI Deputy Director Asad Ali Khan submitted an analysis report of eight mobile phone numbers, owned by top political and administrative authorities.

Following which, the tribunal made that report part of the record and directed the officer to submit a final report on the next hearing (today).

Moreover, a report was also submitted on behalf of federal secretary establishment Nadeem Hasan Asif narrating facts and circumstances which prompted the government to transfer the Punjab Inspector General of Police.
