KARACHI: The Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Federation (PBSF) on Thursday announced separate teams for the upcoming second Asian team event and third 6-Red snooker championship which is being held here from Aug 17 to 23.

The teams were finalised by the executive committee of the federation which met in the city recently.

Being the hosts, Pakistan is allowed to field two teams in the team event as per rules framed by the Asian Confederation of Billiards Sports (ACBS). The PBSF has requested the regional body of the game to allow two additional teams.

According to an announcement, the selected cueists will attend a 10-day training camp at a local parlour in the city fromAug 6 to 15.

Teams:

6-Reds: Mohammad Asif (defending champion), Mohammad Sajjad, Mohammad Asif Toba, Hamza Akbar, Asjad Iqbal, Sohail Shehzad, Abdul Sattar and Shahid Aftab.

Team event: Mohammad Asif / Mohammad Sajjad, Imran Shehzad / Shahid Aftab.

Stand bye (subject to ACBS permission) : Shahram Changezi / Asjad Iqbal, Sohail Shehzad / Mohammad Bilal.
