MINGORA: A member of the local peace committee was gunned down in Takhtaband area in the jurisdiction of Rahimabad police station in an apparent targeted killing incident on Tuesday night.

Omar Hayat, member of the village defence committee, was shot dead by unknown miscreants when he was offering Tarweeh at a mosque in Takhtaband area on the outskirts of Mongora city. The attackers managed to escape the area.
