There is a dire need to better understand this rich culture and to preserve it for future generations to treasure.

Sindh has a rich history. government should take care of the past monument and develop tourism. I am sure sindh can become a great tourist centre and should be able to earn millions & millions in tourist trade.that also create thousands of jobs for the local.Of course peace and security is absolute must.

sir, this is the first time i am commenting on dawn.com. sir i am a regular follower of this news paper. and i can tell, u guys r great, what depth u have on every subject, all my friends share the same thing. Through a foreign lens: The Other Pakistan, reporting on isis, on indian relations, india, pak movies & music political situations in both countries, and social problems and of course this news from sindh. wow, keep up the good work, sir, i will be happy if u acknowledge this comment through my mail id thanks

Missed here a lot: Ranikot; Taung tombs in Kirthar, temples in thar/nagarparker, mangopir, umerkot fort, nani mandir. We need to have a proper coverage and education on these to protect our heritage, which sadly is disappearing for our next generation due to neglect and theft.

In the good old days in our history lectures at the Maharaja Sayajirao Gaikwad University in Baroda, we were introduced to the Sufi teachings and spirituality of Moinuddin Chisti, Nizamuddin Aulia, Kwaja Amir Khusro, Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, Hussein bin Mansur al Hajaj, Sachal Sarmast, Bahauddin Zikarya Multani, Lal Shahbaj Qalandhar, Qadiriya Makhadoom Muhammad Zawan of Luwari, Kwaja Abdul Masakeen, Makhdoom Abul Qasim and many others of Sindh, Rajasthan Delhi and from the Punjab.

Pakistan has so much history and is the cradle of civilization where man first created one of the three earliest civilizations (Irak and Egypt being the other two). May God bless the souls of our founding fathers. Pakistan Zindabad!

Some confusion here. Is kot Diji fort is really from Harappan and Mohenjodaro era? I mean we are talking about early human civilization here. How come this huge structure can survive the sand of time if it is that old!
