Three FC personnel, child killed in N Waziristan checkpost attack

PESHAWAR: At least three paramilitary soldiers and a child were killed and many others injured in a suicide attack near Boya checkpost on Datta Khel road in North Waziristan Agency, military officials confirmed on Monday.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed that at least four people including three soldiers and a child were killed in the vehicle bound suicide attack on the security checkpost.

A statement issued to the media further said that at least 12 people including two women have also been injured in the blast.

Official sources said that the security personnel were establishing a small checkpoint near Boya checkpost on main Datta Khel road when the suspected suicide bomber rammed his vehicle into the checkpoint.

The security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation in the area while Datta Khel road has been closed for all traffic.

North Waziristan is one of the seven regions in Pakistan’s Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) governed by tribal laws.

An extremist insurgency led by the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) plagues the region and the area is known to be infested with militants, including those from al Qaeda and other armed militant organisations.

Looks like TTP have already launched full scale while we are debating next steps.... btw why aren't we on red alert with PM and COAS in control centre? Ch nisar has lot to answer for what is he doing and where is his rapid response force?

@Mir It is not about sustaining these losses. America has worlds most advance army and NATO is too far better than the Pakistani Force, but they aren't getting any grounds too. So stop blaming the Govt. They are doing enough. But issue is they are not doing what they should be doing, i.e. ask the terrorists to leave us alone and do whatever they want to do with the US. I can confirm everything will stop on our soil. But poor slave rulers Muslim world has, cannot ignore the order of their master.....

All this when the militants have declared a ceasefire. shows who breaks agreements & kills women & children. They don't even respect agreements they announce themselves & ensure the tribal locals a safe passage. Pakistan army should make pamphlets & distribute & shower them like the Taliban do to in their propogamfa against Pakistan. Psychologically they get the upper hand & hence always escape local pressure or come out as victims. We need to change that and make sure we prevail militarily,psychologically & religiously with the support of the locals,so these thugs/murderers dont resurface.
