KARACHI: Two owners of a private hospital and its accountant were booked on a charge of unintentional murder on Friday after the death of four children in mysterious circumstances at the health facility.

The children were identified as Shaista, Varsha, Saima and Nasir, aged between five days and five months, officials said.

While health officials initiated an inquiry into the sudden deaths, the Korangi Industrial Area police registered an FIR against the owners of the Shah National Children’s Hospital on a complaint of Imran, the father of one of the deceased.

The case was registered against the hospital owner, Dr Tariq Shah, his partner Dr Adnan Bashir and his brother Ramzan Sarwar.
