LAHORE: At least eight women MPAs of the ruling PML-N have submitted a joint privilege motion against opposition leader Mahmoodur Rashid.

The motion moved by Farzana Butt, Salma Butt, Nasreen Nawaz, Sultana Shaheen, Zaibun Nisa, Shehzadi Kabeer, Rukhsana Kokab and Najma Begum and released to the media on Monday alleged that Mr Rashid and PTI candidate from PP-107 Nighat Intisar had set 300 party workers on them when they visited Pindi Bhattian to monitor by-polls there.

They said their headscarves were snatched, attempts were made to strip them and they were also abused.

They alleged that Mr Rashid passed by them at that time and said laughingly if they (the MPAs) had 'enjoyed' the treatment.

Meanwhile, Mr Rashid has submitted an adjournment motion to the assembly secretariat against kidnapping of MPA Rana Jameel.

He sought an open debate on the deteriorating law and order in the province in the wake of the kidnapping.
