LARKANA/DADU: Many towns in upper Sindh were shut on Friday to mourn the killing of central media coordinator of the outlawed Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz Munir Cholyani.

Mr Cholyani was picked up by armed men near Amri when he was on his way to Sann from Warah in a car along with his family members on Thursday. Later in the evening, his bullet-riddled body was found by police near Dargah Ganjri in Bubak, Sehwan taluka.

The body was taken to the Sehwan taluka hospital from where Mr Cholyani’s nephew, Amir, received it and brought it to their native town, Warah.

On Friday, JSMM activists took the body back to Dadu from Warah after having performed funeral prayers and staged a demonstration by placing the body on a road outside the Dadu press club.

The protesting JSMM activists accused law-enforcement agencies of killing their colleague.

Later, they brought the body to Sann and buried it near the grave of founder of the Jeay Sindh Tehreek, G.M. Syed, and the graves of other JSMM activists.
