RECENTLY the DHA, Karachi, announced that most of the sectors in DHA City will be open for construction by 2016, a scheme which was launched about two to three years ago.

DHA Phase VIII (Karachi) was launched in 1974-75, about 40 years ago, and most of its sectors are yet to be opened for construction. One of these, Sector E, may still not be ready for construction even as far as 2020.

Will the DHA administrator please say a few words on this anomaly and the fate of the affected persons of Phase VIII? Will the work on the scheme be accelerated so that it is ready before DHA City opens for construction.
